Aluminium keder profile
We also supply aluminium profile: a keder channel that fixes the fabric edge in a straight, clean line.

We also supply aluminium profile. Our keder profile is a mill-finish aluminium extrusion: a flat strip with a round keder channel along one edge, open through a narrow slot. The keder bead along the fabric edge slides into the round channel, and the narrow slot holds it in. Beside it runs a rectangular channel for the fixing bolts that hold the profile to steel or to a wall. The fabric edge sits in a straight, clean line, on shades, tensile structures, awnings and fabric panels. Supplied in lengths, cut on request.

Questions about this part
What is a keder?
A keder is a round bead along the fabric edge. It slides into the round channel of the profile, and the narrow slot keeps it from pulling out, so the whole edge is held along its length.
Do you cut the profile to length?
Yes. The profile is supplied in lengths and cut on request. Send the lengths you need, or the measurements of the fabric edge.
How is the profile fixed?
Fixing bolts go in the rectangular channel beside the keder channel and hold the profile to the steel or the wall.
