U-bolt set

U-bolts with nuts and washers for fixing fittings to posts.

A U-bolt is a steel rod bent into a U with threads on both legs, supplied with nuts, washers and often a backing plate. On shade structures it clamps fittings to round or square posts without welding, and at membrane corners it is used as an adjustable loop: the corner plate is pulled out by tightening the nuts. U-bolts are quick to fit, easy to adjust and easy to replace during maintenance.

Galvanized or stainless U-bolts?

Hot-dip galvanized is economical and common on painted steel in Riyadh. Stainless is chosen for visible corners and near water. Try to keep nuts and washers in the same metal as the bolt.
