Membrane end plate with tension bolts

Curved plate at the membrane end, with threaded tension bolts and nuts that pull the fabric toward the structure.

Membrane end plate with tension bolts

The membrane end plate is a curved steel plate, commonly stainless or galvanized, fixed at a corner or at the end of a membrane edge. A row of bolt holes runs along the curved edge for the clamping strip that holds the fabric, and a slot window is cut in the plate. Threaded tension bolts with a flat eye (lug) end pass through and are tightened with nuts, pulling the membrane toward the structure. Each bolt can be adjusted on its own. Plate shape, thickness, hole pattern and bolt size on request.

Also called membrane end plate, edge end plate, tension bolt plate

Questions about this part

How do I order the right end plate?

Send a photo or drawing of the old plate with the hole spacing, the plate thickness and the bolt size, or a photo of the membrane corner. Shapes and sizes are made on request.

End plate or corner plate assembly: which one do I need?

The corner plate assembly is the full corner kit with clamp, edge-cable lugs and U-bolt. The end plate is a curved plate with a row of holes for the clamping strip and threaded tension bolts that pull the membrane toward the structure. Send a photo of your corner and we will tell you which one fits.

Stainless or galvanized?

Stainless is chosen for visible corners and near water. Hot-dip galvanized is more economical and common on painted steel frames. Try to keep the bolts and nuts in the same metal as the plate.
